By Road

Craster Tower Apartment is conveniently located just a short drive from the A1.

By Train

The nearest train station is Alnmouth, around 20 mins drive from Craster Tower Apartment.

By Bus

Craster Village is served by local buses from Bamburgh and Alnwick.

By Air

Newcastle Airport is some 45 minutes from Craster, and has good car hire facilities.

Directions to Craster Tower Penthouse Apartment  

From the North on the A1   Take the first exit for Alnwick, just after the start of the dual carriageway, signposted  Alnwick, Denwick, and a brown tourist attraction sign for Alnwick Castle & Gardens. There is also an MoD sign for RAF Boulmer.  Turn left at the top of the slip road, signed Seahouses & Denwick, on to the B1340 into Denwick Village.

 

From the South on the A1  Take the second exit for Alnwick, signposted Alnwick, Denwick, Seahouses.  There is also an MoD sign for RAF Boulmer.  Turn right at the top of the slip road, signed Seahouses, on to the B1340, over the A1 into Denwick Village.

 

For all routes:  Stay on the B1340 through Denwick, signed  Newton, Seahouses, Rennington & Craster, for 3 kms to a road junction signposted Lee Moor Business Park & Craster and a brown tourist attraction sign for Dunstanburgh Castle.    Turn right and after 30m turn left, following signs for Craster & Dunstanburgh Castle .

After 2 kms over a level crossing, and after a further 500m cross-roads (B1399).  Continue straight ahead for a further 2 kms to another cross-roads.  250m ahead of you you will see an arch.  Go to the arch, past the Cottage Inn entrance on your left and the Stableyard Shop on your right, and turn right immediately before the arch into a gateway with electric gates.  Press the button on the pillar to enter.

There is no mobile reception at the Tower.  Guests are asked to ring on  01665 – 576 674  when they leave the A1 to allow time for the welcoming party to be in place!
