Accommodation
The rooms are exceptionally spacious, retaining many of the original features including decorative coving, ornate stone and marble fireplaces and a fine Venetian chandelier in the drawing room.
The apartment has its own front door, giving access to a large garden area with garden furniture, barbecue and the use of a tennis court and trampoline. We have recently joined the world of superfast broadband and installed a bio-mass boiler for environmentally friendly heating.
With a choice of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 sitting rooms there is plenty of room for everyone. A well equipped utility room combined with a downstairs kitchen on the ground floor provides every facility for making the most of all the beautiful area offers.

Sitting Room
Occupying the end of the east wing of the house, and running the full width of the wing, the room has extensive views to the north and south, but especially to the east, out to sea across the harbour half a mile away. Comfortably furnished for 8, the room is equipped with a log burning stove for which logs are provided. Secondary double glazing is in place for the winter months.
55 ins. flat screen Smart TV, with BT Sport, digital Freeview and Netflix, plus a DVD player. With 3 large sofas, and deep armchairs, a perfect room for relaxing after a day on the beach, in the hills or on the golf course. There is wi-fi access throughout the apartment from the hub in the sitting room and a relay in the gallery.
Drawing Room
Up a small staircase - the top room of the pele tower, converted in the 18th century in the Strawberry Hill Gothic style. This elegant and spacious room is dominated by a large west facing 3-part Gothic window overlooking lawns and mature trees (wonderful sunsets!). The long window seat and comfortable sofas grouped around a stone fireplace make this an ideal haven in which to listen to music on the installed sound system. Family portraits, elegant furniture and a Broadwood boudoir grand piano, which guests are welcome to play, make this very much the "withdrawing room".
Childrens TV Room
Small west facing room, equipped with wall mounted flatscreen Freeview TV (you need never be far from CBeebies!), a DVD player, and an X-box with a selection of games.
For those who prefer analogue activities there are bean bags and a low games table (please “no felt tipped pens”!!). A long curtain ensures privacy and a degree of draught proofing, or can remain looped up to permit monitoring of what is being viewed!
There is also a table football game on the half landing on the stairs.
Gallery
Running the full length of the Georgian house, the 40ft x 12ft gallery provides access to the bedrooms, bathrooms and children’s TV room. A combination of top lighting and windows provides a wonderfully light and welcoming space, the far end of which is equipped as a reading area where a collection of family portraits watches over bookcases (containing an eclectic mix of reading material), lighting and comfortable seating. Lockable child gate to stairs.
Fine Dining. A long table against the east wall can be placed in the centre of the gallery to provide a unique venue for "fine dining" for 8/10 people. Ideal for that special occasion - perhaps a dinner to celebrate a special birthday, anniversary or reunion. And to make it really special we can put you in touch with a first-class caterer who can take care of everything for you.
Large kitchen with central dining table for 8. Fitted units throughout. Electric range cooker. American style fridge/freezer. Dishwasher. Microwave. CD player/radio with iPod dock. Full crockery, cutlery and glassware for 8. Comprehensive range of kitchen equipment. Corner sofa for those who want to keep the cook company, while the universal iPod dock keeps him or her entertained with their favourite music.
Master Bedroom
Double bedroom equipped with king-size bed with canopy, wardrobe, dressing table, chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps, small sofa and armchair.
The room faces south and west, with beautiful views across the lawns from its 4 windows. The south facing window seats and marble fire place make this truly a spacious and gracious sleeping environment.
Boat Room
East facing bedroom, equipped with twin beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table with lamps. Note the intriguing slope of the window! For those who are unable to sleep, or who are early risers the window seat provides the perfect site from which to watch stunning sunrises. Lighthouse Room
South facing bedroom, equipped with twin beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers/dressing table, bedside table and lamps. A favourite with the children who use the window seat to watch the rabbits, and the deer moving across the lawn. Those who prefer the Disney variety can watch them on the wall mounted flatscreen Freeview TV ...
Blue Room
Equipped with twin/double (zip and link) beds, dressing table, chest of drawers and wardrobe. Lockable interconnecting door to master bedroom.
Recently redecorated to provide a cool and calm sleeping environment. West facing. Ideal for those who like to have their children close - but not too close!
Family Bathroom
Spacious south facing bathroom, with over bath shower, WC and basin. Double electric heated towel rails. Perfect for bathing more than one child at a time.
